If you use the ATM remember that the amount you enter for withdrawal should be in pesos as that is what you will receive from the ATM. Check the exchange rate of the Mexican Peso before using the ATM or purchasing anything using the Peso. Credit cards are accepted at most hotels, restaurants, and the larger shops.

Rocky Point is located four hours south of Phoenix or Tucson, Arizona or eight hours from San Diego in the "free zone". The highway from the border to Rocky Point is well-paved and maintained, and marked in Kilometers. You do not need a passport for travel in the free zone. You should always bring proper I.D.
